😶Arugambay😶

Arugambay is a bay on the southeastern coast of Sri Lanka, bordering the arid Indian Ocean.  The bay is approximately 4 km (2.5 mi) south of Pottuvil market town and 320 km (200 mi) east of Colombo.

There is a significant Tamil and Sinhala population and a large number of international migrants, mostly from Europe and Australia.  Traditionally, the fishing industry has dominated the local economy, and in recent years the tourism industry has grown rapidly in the area.

Arugambay Tourism dominates the surf tourism industry, thanks to several quality breaks in the area.  However, tourists are attracted to the local beaches, lagoons, historic temples and any nearby national park
