💃 Indian Chembu dance💃

Chembu or Sembu dance is a beautiful dance of the Sri Lankan people .This is a dance of South Indian origin. It is an Indian dance inspired by the Tamil people of Sri Lanka. The women hold the sembu in their hands and dance, shifting them from hand to hand, holding them up, and holding them in different directions in different shapes. In addition, the dance is performed with background vocals and instrumental control. In fact, the Sembu dance is a dance with very beautiful movements. It is a special feature that only women participate in this dance.

Sembu dance is a dance similar to the local Kalagedi dance. Holding the sembu on the head, and holding it in one hand, shows the manner in which the Indian ladies brings water..Indigenous Kalagedi dances in our culture reflect each other's cultural identities, and in Tamil culture, what is done on the head reflects each other's cultural identities. This beautiful Sembu dance is similar to the Kalagedi dance in Sri Lankan culture and is one of the most beautiful dances to look forward to.
